At the 732nd HJKS (Surabaya City Anniversary) celebration, the ITS Departement of Industrial Design exhibited various student projects on Surabaya’s Creative Community Day, ranging from transportation devices and furniture to apparel and the GOTREKK shoe innovation. ITS research team is utilizing motion capture (mocap) technology to preserve Indonesia’s traditional dance heritage. By conducting this study, the team has built a comprehensive and easily accessible mocap data repository of traditional dance movements. This research not only contributes to the preservation of local culture, but also fosters global cross‑cultural understanding. Amazing!
